Outside Signage:

Outdoor signage today is much more durable than it was even 5 years ago. Today there are composite materials that are stronger, lighter and in the long run, less expensive.  Short-term signage can be made from a plastic material called Coroplast.  Signs made of this material are seen along the roadway advertising such things a "weight loss".  It comes in a various range of colors and ground stakes attach easily.  Long term signage such as buildings or freestanding signs along the highway benefit from a relatively new composite material known as Alumalite.  Alumalite is a strong, lightweight, aluminum-to-plastic CPA core trade panel.  These panels do not swell, wick water, or corrode from the inside. This type of signage has the longest outdoor durability.  Other material such as a PVC panel are easily shaped and drilled and comes in a variety of colors and thickness.  This material was found to be the best choice for nursery signage.  It is very durable and can be cleaned easily (see photos of nursery signs). Whatever your signage needs, we can recommend the right choice for your application.

Versacel Material - This material is a rigid PVC foamboard.  It is very durable outdoors.  It comes in a variety of colors as you can see from the sample pack.  It also comes in various thicknesses, however, the ¼ inch material is recommended.  The typical garden sign that we have been making is 8 x 24 inches double sided.  We have also made larger one sided signs which were 2 x 6 feet.  Of  course the price will vary depending on the complexity of the sign.  The vinyl used on any of this signage is a 2 mil premium vinyl.  Holes are drilled about 6 inches from either end of the sign to provide a means of hanging.  This combination has worked very well in the outside gardens.  Of course, because of shipping costs, if a large sigin is needed, you might want to consider an outdoor banner material since it can be rolled and shipped in a small box. 

Coroplast Material - This material looks like corrugated cardboard but is made of a plastic material.  It is also weatherproof.  Typically signs made from this material are used for quick, short term advertising.  I am sure you have seen signs like these along the road.  A typical sign using this material is 18 x 24 inches and relatively inexpensive.  The vinyl used for this type of signage is 3.2 mil Calendered vinyl.  A large selection of colors are available.

Magnetic Material - The sign is a 30 mil rubberized magnetic material which is used on vehicle doors.  It will not scratch the finish.  This material comes in 24 inch widths, any length.  A typical magnetic sign is 12 x 24 inches.  There are a lot of businesses that do not want a permanent vinyl logo placed on the side of their vehicle, so they use this method.  The vinyl material used on this type of signage is the 2 mil premium.  A typical sign is 12 x 24 inches.  Although they make this material in various colors, we usually laminate the desired color over the magnetic material if a customer wants a background other than white.

All of the above signage has a discount schedule for quantity as follows:

2 to 4 -  5%;  5 to 10 - 7%;  11 to 15 - 10%;  16 or greater - 12%

Delivery usually is within 7-10 days of the order.   We try to accommodate the customer any way we can, so if something is needed ASAP, it will depend on how busy we are, but we can always work out something that will be mutually agreeable
