SUE ROEDDER - contemporary realist painter

 Children, chickens, cows, landscapes, rusted automobiles, galvanized cans, people, pigs, flags, old boats, cats, etc., are only a few of the subjects Sue Roedder has addressed on canvas. In either oils or acrylics. 

A life-long resident of Pennsylvania, most of her adult life as been spent in Berks County, not far from Reading, PA. Primarily a self taught artist, Sue's work is familiar to those who frequent local and regional art shows, both juried and non-juried- She has been the recipient of numerous awards, including several purchase awards at the Reading Museum. Sue has had three solo shows, two In Philadelphia, one locally. Her work is owned and displayed In both corporate and private collections across this country and Europe. 

Sue spent 10 years as a staff artist/designer for the Reading. PA. based  “Dimensions/Perler" a craft industry leader. Her designs were featured in 'Woman's Pay" magazine, and are still being marketed on the 'Dimensions" and 'Sunset" labels as Sue Roedder and Susanna Lynn respectively. Sue left this position to pursue her own passion, painting. 

She is a member of 'Gallery 20' in West Reading, PA. Her work can also be seen at the 'White Swan Gallery' In Elverson, PA. Sue has been selected to be the featured artist for the 2005 Birdsboro Community Art Show.
